Competition Clearance

European Commission clearance of proposed acquisition of Azucarera Ebro

Associated British Foods plc (“ABF”), the international food, ingredients and retail group, has today confirmed that the European Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition by ABF of Azucarera Ebro, the leading sugar producer in Iberia. Completion of the transaction is expected at the end of April.
