We are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings. As outlined in our Business Principles, we do not tolerate any form of bribery or corruption. The behaviour and procedures required to support this commitment are set out in the ABF Anti-Bribery Policy (which includes the ABF policy on gifts and entertainment) which is issued to all relevant employees. Responsibility for oversight of the Policy and its enforcement has been assigned to the Anti-Bribery Compliance Officer at each business with the assistance of the in-house legal team. Ultimate responsibility for the policy is taken by the Group Compliance Officer (the Director of Legal Services and Company Secretary), who has the requisite authority to obtain information and to review any non-compliance. We provide regular training for relevant employees regarding the Policy and general compliance with anti-bribery obligations.
Reporting breaches
All employees are encouraged to assist in tackling fraud, corruption and other malpractice, and to report any suspicions of bribery either to their manager, or via one of the contacts provided through the group whistleblowing policy (available here). We have measures in place to ensure that no employee will ever suffer any disadvantage in the workplace as a result of speaking up.
