Director shareholding

The Company was notified on 12 January 2009 that John Bason, Finance Director, had acquired 226 ordinary shares in Associated British Foods plc on 9 January 2009, at a price of £7.33 per share, as a result of his participation in the Associated British Foods plc Dividend Re-investment Plan.
