1958
Group sales of £107m exceed the £100m milestone.
1955
Gross assets now exceeded £25m, not least due to the expansion in South Africa and Australia, together with the acquisition of the A.B.C. tea shops in London.
1952
The company now consisted of some 50 bakeries, over 60 fine shops in Belfast and district and 5 modern biscuit factories.
1949
Birth of the Australian business, with the purchase of Gartrell White in Sydney and Golden Crust Bakeries in Adelaide.
1948
Garry H.Weston was appointed to the board.
1946
Post war excess profits tax refund of £0.5m was received to be "wholly used in extending and re-equipping the business".
1939
Weston Foods Ltd. was acquired, which owned four biscuit factories. The group made a 'National Defence Contribution' of £30,000.
1938
9 new bakery companies were acquired, effectively doubling the size of the group.
1937
Two new subsidiaries were acquired. Full year profits of £111,909 were reported.
1935
The company was incorporated and consisted of seven bakery subsidiaries.
